Every week in the Big Brother house, TWO Heads of Household will now be crowned! We’re not sure on how exactly this will work on the live show yet and whether or not there will two separate HOH competitions being held.
However, this does explain the two night move-in and why the memory wall is split into two sections. Each person that is elected Head of Household during a given week then has the responsibility of nominating two people. This means that every week there will be a total of FOUR people nominated for eviction!
And it doesn’t stop there. Julie went on to reveal that just because you’re one of the HOH’s this season doesn’t mean that you’re safe.
Also, a new competition will be introduced called “Battle of the Block.” Julie didn’t go into detail about what this competition will mean but I can take a guess. If you noticed in the house photos, the living room only has two nomination chairs in it (as opposed to last year when there was a couch for the three nominees). That means there will probably only be two nominees left on the block come eviction night.
I imagine that the ‘Battle of the Block’ competition could take place between the nominees resulting in two of the nominees losing and then having to remain on the block — this would take place before the POV competition. Now this could mean that the two people nominated by one of the HOH’s have to compete against one another – one wins and gets off the block and the other one stays on. This would result in one nominee from each HOH being on the block at the end of the week.
Or it could possibly be that both sets of nominees compete against each other and whichever set of nominees wins means that they are no longer nominated. Then, the HOH that nominated the set of nominees that saved themselves with the Battle of the Block competition would lose their HOH privileges and become a normal houseguest for the week. They could then be nominated if the Veto was used on one of the other nominees.
This does beg the question of why even fight for HOH if there’s a chance that you nominate two people and neither of them might be nominated at the end of the week and you could be vulnerable yourself? HOH is already in a tough position as it is with nominating people, making enemies, and then not being able to compete the next week.
I’m sure my logic is flawed but we will need more information to know how this twist is really going to work so we’ll have to wait on that.
Julie also mentioned that America will influencing the game in a new interactive way known as ‘Team America.’ That’s all she said about that so there will have to be more announced on premiere night. We’re likely to be voting on something fairly soon.
